Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Cashier to join our vibrant retail team! Responsibilities Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately during retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales and customer satisfaction Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising efforts to maintain an attractive store presentation Manage cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring accurate cash register operations and balancing at shift end Support product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of various items Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via other communication channels Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking and organizing products in accordance with store standards Apply basic math skills for transaction accuracy, pricing calculations, and change giving Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering duties in a retail or grocery environment Strong supervising experience or ability to oversee team activities when needed Excellent communication skills in both bilingual settings (if applicable) and in general customer interactions Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations (preferred) Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales totals, discounts, and change calculations Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette Experience in upselling products and conducting product demos effectively to boost sales Familiarity with stock management, shelving, and inventory replenishment processes Demonstrated ability to handle cash register operations confidently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling procedures Join us in creating a lively shopping environment where every customer leaves satisfied!
