Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team! As a vital point of contact for our customers, you will deliver exceptional service while efficiently handling retail sales transactions. Your role will involve operating cash registers, assisting customers with product information, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit/debit card, and mobile payments Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising displays to maintain an attractive store environment Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance remotely Support inventory management through stocking, inventory counts, and product replenishment tasks Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; grocery store experience is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to assist customers effectively in bilingual settings (if applicable) Proficiency in cashiering operations, retail math, and basic math skills for accurate transactions Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and handle difficult situations professionally Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and inventory procedures Join us to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering outstanding shopping experiences!
