Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Conduct product demos when appropriate to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities. Manage cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring proper cash reconciliation at shift end. Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising standards to assist customers effectively. Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the sales floor remains inviting and well-organized. Demonstrate strong communication skills, including phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting remote customers. Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and participating in stock replenishment activities. Assist with retail store product knowledge sharing, including explaining features or conducting product demos to enhance customer engagement. Uphold safety standards by following procedures for cash register operations and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Experience Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments involving retail math and merchandising. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings or training new staff members. Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is essential for smooth transaction processing. Experience in upselling or promoting products to increase sales is highly valued. Strong basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases.
