Veltri, Inc.Operations Coordinator II (OC2) Remote position/hybrid (or if you live in Philadelphia area you can come into our office) Overnight shift: 22:00 – 07:00 EST EVENING POSITION 10 PM TO 7 AM Tuesday to Saturday (Sunday & Monday off) $60,000 to $75,000 based on experience Reports to: Shift Lead (OC3) The Operations Coordinator II runs a live dispatch desk on the Veltri operations floor. The floor covers asset freight on Veltri Inc. trucks and brokered freight under Veltri Logistics. This position manages drivers, ETAs, and appointments across the shift, owns service recovery when a truck breaks down or a carrier falls off, keeps hours-of-service data current, and mentors Operations Coordinator I staff. Every load is offered to a Veltri truck first; partner carriers are used only when the Veltri network cannot cover the load. Key Responsibilities • Run a live dispatch desk: driver communication, ETAs, appointment management, and issue resolution across the shift. • Own OS&D (over, short and damaged) and service-recovery decisions on shift, for asset and brokered freight. • Keep hours-of-service (HOS) and ELD data current on the board. Flag drivers approaching their limits to Planning before it costs a load. • Recover and re-cover freight when trucks break down or brokered carriers fall off, offering the load to a Veltri truck first. • Complete check calls and log a driver confirmation on every dispatch, to the SOP standard. • Collect and file delivery paperwork within 12 hours of delivery. • Return billing exceptions to Billing with complete documentation. • Mentor Operations Coordinator I staff and enforce SOP compliance on shift. • Serve as acting Shift Lead when assigned, including the shift handoff and approval of extras and deductions. • On shifts with no OC1 on the floor, cover OC1 duties: paperwork requests, trailer entry, and TMW data maintenance. • When the capacity desk is not staffed, own recovery work: posting loads, working regular carriers, and sourcing coverage. Partner carriers must be vetted by Safety & Compliance before dispatch. Qualifications • 2–5 years of experience in truckload dispatch, fleet operations, logistics coordination, or freight brokerage operations. • Experience running a dispatch or track-and-trace desk: driver communication, check calls, and appointments. • Working knowledge of hours-of-service rules, ELD data, and DOT/FMCSA regulations. • Able to make recovery decisions under time pressure and escalate to the Shift Lead when an issue is outside your authority. • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities. • Experience with a TMS and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel). Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of TMW Suite or a similar Transportation Management System. • Experience at an asset-based truckload carrier. • Experience with tracking tools (MacroPoint, SkyBitz) and load boards (DAT, Truckstop). Performance Expectations • On-time pickup and delivery on your shift book at or above 98.5%. • HOS and ELD data current on the board at the end of every shift. • Check call and driver confirmation compliance at or above 99%. • Every late departure on your book documented with a complete exception record. • Billing exceptions returned to Billing with documentation within 3 business days. • All recorded times and confirmations match what actually happened. • First 30 days: training and certification with a graduated board. Full targets apply from day 31. Compensation • Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. • Eligible for performance bonus.
