Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Carrier Sourcing Specialist with expertise in Less Than Truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload (FTL) transportation to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and establishing strong relationships with reliable carriers to optimize freight movement across various supply chain networks. Your energetic approach and negotiation skills will drive cost-effective transportation solutions while ensuring exceptional service quality. Responsibilities Source and onboard qualified carriers specializing in LTL and FTL freight, ensuring alignment with company standards for reliability and service excellence. Negotiate rates, terms, and service agreements with carriers to secure competitive pricing and optimal transit times. Develop and maintain robust relationships with carriers through regular communication, performance reviews, and strategic collaboration. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, and freight brokerage platforms to manage carrier data, track shipments, and generate leads. Coordinate closely with internal teams such as logistics planning, customer service, and sales to align carrier capacity with operational needs. Monitor carrier performance metrics, conduct audits, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery. Stay informed on industry trends, trade compliance regulations, international trade standards, and logistics innovations to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Experience Proven experience in supply chain management or transportation management within a logistics or freight forwarding environment. Strong background in carrier sourcing, freight brokerage, or logistics sales with a focus on LTL/FTL transportation solutions. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, and freight forwarding logistics platforms such as NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier). Demonstrated ability in B2B sales, negotiation, client relationship management, and inside sales strategies. Knowledge of shipping logistics including air freight, trade compliance, international trade regulations, and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) operations. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and carrier negotiations coupled with data entry accuracy for lead generation and reporting purposes.
