Carrier Sales Representative
HaulisticHaulistic is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative to join our Operations Team. The Carrier Sales Representative is a key contributor to Haulistic’s truckload operations, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing carrier relationships to ensure successful freight execution. This role is built on a foundation of ownership—Carrier Sales Representatives are accountable for the full lifecycle of the loads they book, from booking through delivery, including incident resolution and carrier communication. Carrier Sales Representatives also play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience by promoting Haulistic’s technology tools, ensuring quality through on-time performance, and supporting proactive communication and effective problem resolution. The ideal candidate brings an established nationwide carrier base, including flatbed, specialized flatbed, drayage, and cross-border (Canada and/or Mexico) freight, with the ability to leverage their network to support Haulistic’s truckload operations and growth objectives. Background & Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred 3+ years of Truckload Freight Brokerage or Carrier Sales experience required Established nationwide carrier network, including Flatbed/Specialized Flatbed, Drayage, and Cross-Border (Canada and/or Mexico) carriers Familiarity with the full lifecycle of freight, from booking to delivery Experience with carrier management and visibility platforms like Trucker Tools and Highway Key Responsibilities: Carrier Procurement & Relationship Management Source and procure carrier services to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of customer freight. Build and maintain strong carrier relationships beyond transactional load board usage. Vet and onboard new carrier partners aligned with Haulistic’s service standards. Maintain carrier scorecards and performance metrics to support continuous improvement. Load Management & Shipment Execution Book truckload shipments and assume full ownership of the shipment lifecycle. Serve as the primary point of contact for any issues or exceptions that arise during transit. Manage and resolve incidents such as accidents, breakdowns, out-of-route events, and wrong equipment assignments in accordance with Haulistic SOPs. Ensure carriers are aligned with Haulistic’s service expectations and communicate proactively throughout the shipment. Service Quality & Carrier Compliance Effectively sell the use of Trucker Tools for real-time tracking and POD upload to Carriers. Own the POD process by proactively engaging carriers to ensure timely and accurate documentation. Enforce carrier compliance with Haulistic’s technology platforms (Highway and Trucker Tools) to reduce manual follow-ups and improve visibility. Support on-time performance and service quality through proactive communication and issue resolution with carriers. Some weekend or after-hours work may occasionally be necessary to take care of clients’ needs. Cross-Functional Collaboration Communicate with Stations, Sales Representatives, and Corporate TL Service Team and ensure load details are understood by carrier. Communicate any carrier issues to Station and Service teams. Participate in daily huddles and operations meetings to share updates and insights. Provide feedback to improve internal processes and customer experience.
