Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Carrier Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for negotiating freight rates with carriers, coordinating shipments, and building strong relationships with carriers. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of the logistics industry. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and transportation companies. Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to secure cost-effective and reliable transportation solutions. Coordinate freight shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring on-time performance. Monitor and address any delays or issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of shipments, rates, and customer interactions in the company’s database. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience as a Carrier Representative or in a similar logistics role. Strong understanding of freight brokerage operations, market trends, and carrier networks. Excellent negotiation skills. Proficiency in transportation management software (TMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and load posting boards like DAT. Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
