Duties Safely operate your personal or company-provided cargo van, Sprinter van, or box truck to complete scheduled deliveries and pickups. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Manage route driving efficiently, following planned schedules and traffic regulations to ensure on-time deliveries. Handle heavy lifting with proper techniques to prevent injury, including moving items within warehouses or customer locations. Utilize mobile devices for navigation, delivery confirmations, and communication with dispatch teams. Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and weight handling standards during all operations. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or courier services with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting. Strong knowledge of commercial truck driving, including operating box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission. Familiarity with warehouse procedures, material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks, and safe lifting practices. Ability to adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT guidelines, and safety protocols at all times. Excellent route planning skills using mobile devices or GPS systems for efficient delivery schedules. Customer service-oriented attitude with clear communication skills for engaging with clients professionally. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving load & unload activities in various environments.
