ConfidentialJob Overview As a Cargo Van Owner-Operator Driver, you’ll use your own cargo van to complete delivery routes, move freight, and provide dependable service to customers. This independent contractor role combines route driving, safe load handling, and professional customer interactions. The listed daily rate is $225 per day . This route operates 7 days a week, and we are looking for a reliable driver who can commit to working all 7 days each week. Duties Drive assigned routes and deliver shipments using your own cargo van. Experience with personal vehicle delivery, courier work, or other delivery driving is relevant. Load and unload freight, perform manual handling and moving tasks, and use a pallet jack or other material-handling equipment when needed. Follow safe lifting practices and workplace weight-handling procedures when handling heavy items. Provide courteous customer service, use mobile devices for route and delivery updates, and complete delivery records. Maintain safe driving practices, follow traffic regulations and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, and handle goods carefully. Complete deliveries safely and on time to ensure customers receive their shipments reliably. Requirements Own and operate a suitable cargo van. Be available to work 7 days per week and maintain reliable attendance. Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Delivery driving, courier work, commercial driving, or commercial truck driving experience is preferred. Experience with warehouse operations, box trucks, and loading and unloading is a plus. Ability to handle physical work, including lifting and moving items, while following safe lifting practices and weight limits. Ability to use mobile devices, follow assigned routes, and comply with delivery instructions and applicable driving and safety rules. Familiarity with manual transmission is helpful.
