Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Cargo Van Owner Operator/Delivery Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties Safely operate your personal cargo van or box truck to complete scheduled deliveries across various locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload packages, ensuring proper manual handling practices, heavy lifting safety, and the use of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Verify delivery orders, inspect vehicles for safety compliance, and maintain accurate documentation of deliveries using mobile devices or onboard systems. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to confirm routes, report delays or issues, and update delivery statuses in real-time. Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including manual handling of materials, moving inventory within storage areas, and maintaining organized loading zones. Ensure all deliveries are completed on time while providing exceptional customer service by engaging professionally with clients during drop-offs. Follow all DOT regulations and workplace weight handling guidelines to promote safety during loading, transit, and unloading processes. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations, including adherence to traffic laws and DOT requirements for weight limits and hours of service. Ability to operate a cargo van confidently; experience with manual transmission is a plus. Strong customer service skills to represent the company professionally during deliveries. Competence in using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery updates, and documentation purposes. Knowledge of warehouse procedures such as pallet jack operation, material handling equipment use, and safe lifting practices. Excellent driving record with experience in route driving and load & unload activities involving manual handling equipment.
