ConfidentialJob Summary Join our dynamic team as a Cargo Van Driver for Over-the-Road (OTR) deliveries, where you will be the vital link connecting our company with customers across multiple regions. Duties Safely operate a cargo van or box truck over long-distance routes, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices. Manage route driving efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries to multiple locations while maintaining communication via mobile devices. Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including material handling, moving goods, and organizing inventory. Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods professionally, addressing customer questions, and ensuring satisfaction upon delivery. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, weight handling in the workplace, and proper use of manual transmission vehicles. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with warehouse experience and commercial driving background. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or vans with manual transmission is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and traffic laws applicable to OTR driving. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely; familiarity with pallet jacks and material handling equipment is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude; capable of managing multiple deliveries efficiently. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication during shifts. Prior experience in warehouse operations or moving is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
