Cargo Handler

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cargo Handler to join our warehouse and logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, and moving cargo while ensuring shipments are handled safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Load and unload cargo from trucks, trailers, and shipping containers. Sort, organize, and prepare shipments for transportation or storage. Inspect incoming and outgoing cargo for damage or discrepancies. Move freight and materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Verify shipment labels, quantities, and documentation for accuracy. Maintain clean and organized loading docks and warehouse areas. Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transportation. Follow workplace safety procedures and company guidelines. Assist with inventory tracking and general warehouse operations. Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving goals. Qualifications Previous warehouse, cargo handling, or logistics experience is preferred but not required. Ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation. Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Dependable attendance and a positive work attitude.
