Cargo Handler

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cargo Handler to join our logistics and warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, and moving cargo while ensuring shipments are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Load and unload cargo from trucks, trailers, and shipping containers. Sort, organize, and prepare shipments for storage or transportation. Inspect incoming and outgoing cargo for damage or discrepancies. Move freight using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment. Verify shipment details against shipping documents and inventory records. Secure and properly position cargo to prevent damage during transportation. Maintain clean and organized loading docks and warehouse areas. Assist with inventory counts and shipment tracking. Follow company safety procedures and proper material handling practices. Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to meet daily operational goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in cargo handling, warehousing, shipping, or logistics is a plus but not required. Ability to lift, carry, and move packages of varying weights with appropriate equipment or assistance. Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn new tasks. Basic communication and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday. Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks. Ability to work in warehouse and loading dock environments. Willingness to use appropriate safety equipment.
