Career Shipping/Receiving

About the Role: As a member of the Shipping/Receiving team, you’ll receive, store, and ship materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures. You’ll pull, package, stage, and load outgoing shipments. You’ll also unload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments and locate in designated area. The person in this position safely operates appropriate equipment for movement of materials and ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance along with the protection of facilities and equipment. This shipper/receiver completes shipping and receiving documentation and records and ensures proper identification of parts and materials. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of related experience High School diploma or equivalent Ability to lift up to 120 lbs. Ability to operate and climb up into various types of mobile equipment Ability to safely and efficiently perform all essential functions Ability to follow directions and maintain a professional work environment Ability to use various measuring devices such as tape measures, weigh count scales, etc. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work within a teamwork environment Regular and predictable attendance Responsibilities: Identify parts and materials Accurately count and check required materials Stage outbound shipments according to load Store parts and materials in correct location Operate all forklifts at facility and any other appropriate equipment for movement of material Load outbound shipments Package and stage material for outbound shipments Follow all safety rules and practices Maintain a clean work environment through 5S activities May be involved in safety committees or initiatives Perform other duties as assigned
