Car Hauler Driver

Job Overview As a Car Hauler Driver, you’ll transport automobiles safely and efficiently using a tractor-trailer. You’ll plan route driving and over-the-road (OTR) trips with GPS navigation, secure vehicles for transport, and complete deliveries while following applicable safety and cargo-handling requirements. This role involves commercial truck driving, manual handling, and loading and unloading vehicles. Responsibilities Drive commercial routes and deliver automobiles on schedule, adapting to road and delivery conditions. Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles using safe automobile transportation and logistics cargo-handling practices. Inspect the truck, trailer, and cargo before, during, and after trips; report damage or safety concerns. Use GPS navigation and delivery documentation to manage routes, freight, and handoffs. Your impact: Careful vehicle handling and compliant driving help customers receive their automobiles safely and in good condition. Qualifications Required: Valid commercial driving credentials appropriate for the role, safe driving practices, and ability to perform manual handling and vehicle loading and unloading. Experience with truck driving, delivery driving, route driving, tractor-trailers, manual transmissions, and delivery driver duties is preferred. Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations is preferred. Familiarity with hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, and hazardous materials regulations is a plus. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers is also a plus; these trailer types may support related freight assignments.
