The Crown Land Capital Infrastructure Development Program (Capital Program), managed by the Capital Infrastructure Development and Implementation (CIDI) Branch within the Parks Division, is responsible for planning, refurbishing and developing new outdoor recreation infrastructure by maximizing available capital investments and procurement opportunities.
Reporting to the Manager, Capital Systems and Coordination, the Capital Procurement Analyst leads and supports complex capital procurements that contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects across Alberta's parks and public lands. The position provides strategic procurement expertise and ensures all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, trade agreements, policies, and standards.
Key responsibilities include:
This position supports procurement decisions associated with an annual capital investment portfolio valued at approximately $80 million to $100+ million. The role also conducts procurement research, environmental scans, and jurisdictional reviews, while supporting the evaluation of innovative delivery models, contracting approaches, and procurement methods.
The Capital Procurement Analyst works collaboratively with project teams, senior leadership, as well as with other branches, ministries, and stakeholders to advance strategic capital infrastructure initiatives.

Role-Specific APS Competencies:
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience:
A minimum of four years of directly related experience in capital project delivery, capital program management, procurement, contract management, design and construction, or infrastructure project delivery.
Equivalency:
Directly related education or experience will be considered on the basis of one year of education for one year of experience, or one year of experience for one year of education.
Assets:

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Edmonton. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., totaling 36.25 hours per week.
