Job Overview: The Kitchen Production Manager oversees daily production activities within a cannabis production facility. This role manages a small production team (5-10 employees), coordinates batch production, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains accurate seed‑to‑sale tracking in METRC. The manager ensures infused products are manufactured accurately, safely, consistently, and efficiently while adhering to SOPs, food safety practices, and state cannabis regulations. Key Responsibilities Lead daily cannabis manufacturing operations across post-processing, formulation, filling, packaging, and labeling. Develop and execute weekly production schedules based on sales forecasts and inventory targets. Ensure all products are manufactured according to approved formulations, potency targets, and SOPs. Accurately calculate and measure cannabinoid infusion to maintain consistent dosing across batches. Maintain strict compliance with METRC seed‑to‑sale tracking requirements. Create and manage production batches and jobs in METRC and ensure accurate inventory adjustments and package conversions. Ensure all ingredient inputs, distillate usage, and waste streams are properly documented. Supervise daily production staff assignments and optimize workflow across the facility. Train employees on SOPs, safety procedures, METRC compliance, and quality standards. Lead ongoing staff development through performance feedback, coaching, and skills training. Maintain sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the production environment. Monitor curing conditions, product texture, and appearance to ensure consistent product quality. Manage inventory of ingredients, distillate, packaging materials, and kitchen supplies. Coordinate procurement and restocking of production materials to prevent downtime. Track ingredient usage and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve yield. Collaborate with leadership to improve production efficiency and scale operations as demand grows. Prepare documentation and records for internal audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews.
