Cannabis Inventory Control Specialist

LUV Cannabis is hiring a Cannabis Inventory Control Specialist for our Detroit retail dispensary. This hands-on role focuses on accurate inventory, reliable records, and compliant product handling. We are looking for someone who can work confidently in METRC and Dutchie, investigate discrepancies, and keep the sales floor and backstock organized. Location: Detroit, Michigan | In person Job type: Full-time Pay: $18–$22 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated METRC, Dutchie, and reconciliation skills. RESPONSIBILITIES Reconcile physical inventory against METRC and Dutchie records through routine cycle counts and complete inventory audits. Investigate quantity, package ID, SKU, unit-of-measure, receiving, transfer, and sales-related discrepancies. Document findings, escalate unresolved issues, and make only authorized, supported corrections. Receive cannabis deliveries by checking manifests, package tags, quantities, product details, and supporting records before completing authorized receiving steps in METRC and Dutchie. Maintain accurate product records, labels, package associations, and inventory locations; monitor system synchronization issues and communicate them promptly. Organize showroom inventory and backstock, replenish products accurately, and maintain traceability during internal movements. Support compliance with Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) requirements and company procedures for inventory tracking, secure storage, recordkeeping, recalls, quarantines, returns, and authorized waste handling. Keep clear audit trails and organized receiving, count, discrepancy, and correction records for management review and regulatory inspections. Report damaged, expired, recalled, missing, or otherwise restricted products promptly and keep affected inventory separated according to approved procedures. Work with managers and the sales team to prevent recurring errors and improve inventory accuracy. QUALIFICATIONS Hands-on experience using METRC and Dutchie for cannabis retail inventory operations. Experience performing physical counts, reconciling records, and investigating inventory variances. Working knowledge of Michigan cannabis inventory compliance and ability to follow current CRA requirements and store procedures. Strong attention to detail, basic math, spreadsheet skills, and accurate data entry.
