Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced California-based Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating 26ft Box Truck across long-distance routes,. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, and ability to navigate using GPS will ensure timely and secure deliveries. Responsibilities Safely operate 26ft Box Truck on over-the-road routes across California and beyond, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations when applicable. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly in refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor progress, and adjust routes as needed for efficiency and safety. Transport various types of freight including hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and logistics cargo handling with precision and care. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA standards. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and incident reports in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit. Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver specializing in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes within California or similar regions. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements relevant to the type of freight transported; Hazmat certification is a plus. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures for truck driving. Experience with manual transmission trucks and truck loading/unloading processes. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking during deliveries. Excellent manual handling skills for load securing and cargo handling in compliance with safety standards.
