Onsite 5 days a week JOB SUMMARY: The Material Handler receives stores, moves, stages, and ships materials, parts, and finished goods in support of warehouse, testing, and logistics operations. The position verifies material and documentation accuracy, maintains orderly inventory locations, operates material handling equipment, and supports safe, timely material flow throughout the facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations. Receiving and Inventory Control Unload incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other approved equipment. Inspect deliveries for visible damage, shortages, overages, or other discrepancies and promptly report issues. Verify materials against packing slips, purchase orders, job documentation, and system records. Receive, label, tag, barcode, and store materials in assigned locations using applicable inventory systems. Maintain accurate material identification, traceability, and stock rotation in accordance with company procedures. Material Movement and Production Support Transport raw materials, components, tooling, work-in-process, and finished goods safely within the facility. Supply materials to production lines, workstations, assembly areas, or other internal customers as requested. Pick, stage, and verify materials for work orders, transfers, kits, and outgoing shipments. Use bills of material, pick lists, part numbers, descriptions, and revision information to differentiate similar items. Notify the appropriate personnel of shortages, damaged material, location errors, or low stock levels. Shipping and Logistics Support Package and protect products and materials for shipment in accordance with handling and shipping requirements. Prepare labels and shipping documentation; verify quantities, part identification, destination, and carrier information. Load trucks or containers safely and efficiently and coordinate material readiness with logistics personnel. Assist with tracking and tracing shipments or materials and maintaining related logs and records. Equipment, Safety, and Housekeeping Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, hand trucks, and related equipment only when trained and authorized. Perform pre-use inspections and report equipment damage, malfunctions, unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses. Follow safe lifting, stacking, load securement, pedestrian, traffic-control, and PPE requirements. Maintain clean, organized, and accessible warehouse, staging, dock, and storage areas. Comply with company quality, safety, health, environmental, and inventory-control procedures. Complete required logs, reports, transactions, and digital forms accurately and timely. Communicate material needs and status with supervisors, leads, production, purchasing, quality, and logistics personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required. One year of material handling, warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, manufacturing, or related experience preferred. Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and warehouse or ERP/WMS systems preferred. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Knowledge in the procedures and safety measures regarding material movement and loading and unloading Ability to complete company-required forklift training and authorization, including equipment up to 10,000-pound capacity when required. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements may be required based on assignment.
