Cabinet Maker/Assembler

Overview: As a cabinet assembler at P5 Millwork and Design Ltd, you play a critical role in meeting production deadlines in the shop. Successful execution of these duties is crucial to maintaining our commitment to delivering exceptional products and services to our clients. This is a full time temporary position with the potential to become permanent full time. Primary Accountabilities include: Efficiently assemble cabinet components according to specifications and quality standards. Consistently meet daily production targets and deadlines Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines throughout the assembly process. Collaborate with team members to streamline assembly processes and improve productivity. Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate smooth operations. Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or issues to supervisors Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to assembly tasks. Secondary Responsibilities: Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and diagrams accurately. Identify and select appropriate tools and equipment for assembly tasks. Assemble cabinet components using various techniques such as gluing, nailing, and screwing. Inspect finished products for quality control and make necessary adjustments or repairs. Assist in inventory management by accurately recording materials used and reporting shortages. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns related to assembly processes. Personal suitability: Accurate Organized Team player Minimum Requirements: One year experience in a cabinet shop Knowledge of safe handling and use of hand tools Ability to read blueprints and/or shop drawings Post secondary trades training preferred and considered a strong asset Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Life insurance Vision care Application question(s): Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?
