Cabinet Installer — Subcontractor (Contract, Per-Kitchen Piece Rate)
Source KitchensEstablished cabinet shop in the Lower Mainland is looking for an experienced cabinet installer on a subcontract basis. Two kitchens have just been awarded, with more work — including a high-end job — coming behind them. This is ongoing contract work for the right installer, starting with a trial kitchen. Location: Lower Mainland, BC. Work at client homes across the Lower Mainland. The work: - Install custom cabinetry to a high finish standard - Scribe to real walls and ceilings; crown, filler and panel work - Panel-ready installs; read plans properly and work cleanly in clients' homes - Final walkthrough with the shop before sign-off Terms: - Subcontractor, not an employee — paid per kitchen, at a piece rate agreed up front - Paid when the kitchen is on the wall and the walkthrough is clean - Trial on one kitchen first; ongoing work follows if it goes well You must have: - Your own tools and your own vehicle - WorkSafeBC clearance letter (before and after the job); sole proprietors must also carry Personal Optional Protection - Your own liability insurance ($2M) - GST number - Photos of finished work and two shop references To apply: Email canadiancabs@gmail.com.
