About the Role - Onsite in Vineland, NJ

This role maintains targeted service and inventory levels for produce within designated locations.  Responsibilities require a detail-oriented person who can work within a fast paced, dynamic environment that routinely involves analyzing, forecasting, and 

procurement of goods to support stock levels, promotions, ad sales, while maintaining warehouse service level target.

• Forecast & Procure: Anticipate demand and secure the right produce at the right time to maintain service levels.
• Optimize Inventory: Manage stock levels efficiently, reduce waste, and ensure accuracy in our ERP system.
• Coordinate Logistics: Build truckloads for compatibility, monitor transportation costs, and streamline scheduling with growers.
• Analyze & Adjust: Review usage reports, manage backorders, and reconcile receiving to address inventory gaps or excess.
• Collaborate & Resolve: Work closely with operations, sales, warehouses, and QA to resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory challenges.
• Drive Efficiency: Support new item launches, minimize supply chain costs, and manage vendor relationships as needed.

What you'll Bring:

We’re looking for a passionate, detail-oriented professional ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Here’s what you’ll need to excel in this role:

Education & Experience: 

High school diploma required; a related college degree in General Business, Buying/Procurement, Food Science, or Supply Chain Management preferred—or equivalent experience. 1–2 years as a Junior Buyer or Buyer in food manufacturing, grocery, retail, or warehouse buying environments. Produce experience and knowledge of seasonality are a strong advantage!

Skills & Abilities:

• Basic understanding of purchasing principles, competitive procurement practices, value analysis, source selection, and negotiation techniques.
• Familiarity with business subjects like purchasing, economics, ethics, and accounting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in automated systems and able to quickly learn procurement software.
• Professional, diplomatic, and calm under pressure.
• Strong logical thinking and sound judgment to balance risks, timeliness, cost, and other considerations when making decisions.
