Buyer / Planner & Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator

Role Overview

The Buyer / Planner & Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator handles the day-to-day procurement, material planning, and logistics activities that keep our global manufacturing operations running smoothly. This is a highly execution-focused role — you'll manage purchase orders through our ERP/MRP system, maintain supplier and pricing data, support inventory accuracy, and coordinate shipments from origin to delivery.

You'll work closely with internal global teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure materials arrive on time, data stays accurate, costs stay controlled, and communication flows proactively across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage purchase orders through the ERP/MRP system

  • Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing data, and inventory information

  • Expedite orders and resolve supply disruptions to prevent production delays

  • Coordinate logistics activities including shipment tracking and tariff validation

  • Support cycle counting and inventory accuracy initiatives

  • Communicate proactively with internal teams and external partners to flag and resolve supply chain issues

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, planning, or scheduling within an ERP/MRP environment

  • Solid understanding of purchasing workflows, inventory management, and expediting

  • Basic knowledge of global logistics, shipment tracking, and trade compliance

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and propose solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field

  • APICS certification

  • Experience with trade compliance and tariff processes
