Buyer/Planner

We are looking for a service-oriented Buyer/Planner at our Carrollton, TX 75007 location. This position works with Suppliers in order to secure product and maintain high service/low cost. The position is an onsite position location as specified. This is not a remote position. Responsibilities Collaborate with Sales Reps to ensure balanced support to our Customers for Inventory Materials and accurate Delivery Dates Work with Demand Planning system to analyze inventory and purchase goods Identify and assess supply sources and costs to achieve Best Cost/Best Service Options Build sustainable relationships and trust with Suppliers through open and interactive communication Follow up and expedite all inbound orders daily. Provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within their limits; following up to ensure resolution, engaging Management when support is required Process Supplier communication and file documents as required Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies Schedule shipping with 3rd party carriers and manage freight where necessary Collaborate with the warehouse to ensure accurate and timely Inventories Skills Proven Buyer experience or experience as an Inventory Specialist Strong phone & email contact handling skills and active listening Microsoft Office proficiency preferred(Excel, Work, PowerPoint) Experience with an Order based Data Base.
