Buyer/Planner

Coburn Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer/Planner to join our team! If you’re a detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys purchasing, supplier relationships, and keeping things moving, this could be a great opportunity for you. As our Buyer/Planner, you’ll play an important role in making sure the materials and services we need are available when we need them. You’ll work closely with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, receiving, and accounting to keep production running smoothly and our customer commitments on track. What You’ll Be Doing: Manage purchase orders, requisitions, and supplier communications Build strong relationships with suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities Obtain and analyze quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and support cost reduction efforts Monitor inventory, production shortages, lead times, and material availability Expedite orders and resolve issues that could impact production Work with suppliers and internal teams on quality issues and engineering changes Maintain accurate ERP planning and purchasing data Partner with Receiving and Accounts Payable to resolve material and invoice discrepancies Look for opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and make things work better What We’re Looking For: 2 to 4 years of related purchasing, planning, supply chain, or manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to build effective supplier and internal relationships Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and basic math skills Associate degree in Business or a related field is preferred Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification is a plus Why Coburn?
