Buyer, MRO (1-year contract)

About the Role:

This position will be responsible for strategy and continuous improvement regarding the purchase of MRO materials, non-inventory consumables, and indirect services to support production and maintenance at Vista’s North American Facilities.

What You Will Do:

• Responsible for timely and accurate processing of Purchasing Orders with adherence to a complex framework of policy and procedure
• Manage the end-to-end supply chain for spare parts across North American facilities, overseeing complex logistics, cross-border customs compliance, and material expediting to ensure on-time delivery
• Ensure timely resolution of problems related to Supplier on time deliveries and service levels
• Track expected deliveries to ensure no stock outs on parts
• Resolve cross border customs issues as required
• Use knowledge of Procurement concepts to participate in the selection of best-in-class Suppliers based on quality, technology, service and price
• Plan, execute and track an annual business plan focused on delivering cost savings and total cost of ownership benefits
• Other Duties will be assigned

What You Need:

• Post-secondary education in Business management is considered an asset
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
• Proficiency in use of SAP is required
• Administrative support experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in purchasing
• Experience with RFP and RFQ procedure, quote analysis, PO issuance
• Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Work independently with moderate supervision for extended periods of time
• Strong interpersonal skills & teamwork attitude are required
• Ability to comply with Supply Chain procedures and teach others as needed
• Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset
