Four Seasons Building Products is currently seeking an experienced Buyer / Inventory Control Analyst to join our thriving manufacturing business in Southern California. At our manufacturing location for the West Coast business, serving locations with over $40 million in sales, you will work in a dynamic environment, controlling material supply for the region, maintaining accurate inventory, and improving and professionalizing our purchasing and inventory processes. Key Responsibilities · Purchase raw materials, components and supplies to ensure uninterrupted supply to manufacturing across multiple locations · Negotiate pricing, lead times and terms with vendors; manage vendor relationships and performance · Monitor and manage inventory levels for 1,000+ SKUs, setting and maintaining min/max, reorder points and safety stock · Plan and coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve variances · Analyze usage, forecasts and lead times to balance material availability against inventory carrying costs · Identify slow-moving, obsolete and excess inventory and recommend corrective action · Maintain accurate item, purchasing and inventory data in the ERP system · Build Excel-based reports and KPIs (inventory accuracy, turns, fill rate, on-time delivery) for management · Partner with production, warehouse, and accounting teams to improve purchasing and inventory control processes Qualifications · A minimum of 3 years of purchasing and/or inventory control experience in a multi-location manufacturing environment · Experience negotiating with vendors and vendor management · Strong attention to detail (managing 1,000+ SKUs to ensure uninterrupted supply to manufacturing) · Excellent analytical skills with advanced experience manipulating data in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) · Working knowledge of inventory control practices such as cycle counting, reorder planning and inventory reconciliation · ERP experience in a multi-site environment (Syteline experience a plus) · Strong communication and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities · 4-year college degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field would be a plus; APICS/ASCM certification a plus What We Offer The company offers a full benefits package including medical, dental and vision care, employee life insurance and a 401(k) with company matching.
