Classes in this series perform a variety of technical-level administrative duties associated with the procurement of materials, supplies, services and equipment for County departments and related agencies; negotiates with vendors and suppliers; prepares specifications, bids and contracts and performs other related work as required. This recruitment may be used to fill future permanent, substitute, limited term, and temporary positions, both full-time and part-time throughout the County. The Ideal Candidate Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes: Buyer I: Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field. In addition, the preferred candidate will have SAP experience and understanding.
