Key Responsibilities And Expected Results Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work Obtain supplier quotations and commercial evaluations. Expedite deliveries and resolve supplier issues. Execute sourcing events and negotiations. Maintain procurement documentation and SAP data. Support operations, maintenance and engineering. Secure cost savings for Biron mill the above actions. Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) Improve requisition turnaround time. Reduce emergency purchasing. Increase competitive bidding. Improve supplier on-time delivery. Increase Purchasing Manager strategic capacity. Qualifications And Skills Integrity. Holds oneself and others (internal stakeholders and external vendors) to high ethical standards. Leads by example 3+ years’ experience in procurement or supply chain Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience with SAP desirable, or another ERP system Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Strong organizational ability and excellent attention to detail Ability to be both fast and accurate in a high-volume setting Ability to multitask; follow-up on pending issues; and meet deadlines Preferred Experience Safety conscious and willing to work in an industrial environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Good time management and multi-tasking skills Ability to interact with all levels of the organization Strong initiative and perseverance Strong ambition for continuous learning, willingness to take on additional responsibilities Attributes for Success Hard work – tackle each task with determination, passion and creativity; the willingness to put in whatever effort is required to successfully complete the job at hand.
