Come join our family at In-N-Out Burger! We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Buyer I based in our Chino, CA warehouse*. The Buyer I will develop into a subject matter expert in a specified procurement category. The Buyer I assists in sourcing materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization. Additional responsibilities include qualifying suppliers, evaluating bids, and conducting market research. Occasionally, a Buyer I may track purchases and pricing, monitor supplier quality, and maintain a current database of supplier information. They will also work on projects for the department as assigned. This position is full-time, in-office only. General Responsibilities Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and develop solutions according to company standards (e.g. Stock out mitigation, item risk analysis) Ideate and execute the contract award justification for new and existing direct spend items with support from management (e.g., RFP, Category analysis) Assist with responsibilities in the assigned buying category while actively building knowledge and developing subject matter expertise. (e.g. research market data, vendor visits, Supplier connects) Monitor supplier quality and maintain a current database of supplier information. (e.g. Nonconformance log, addressing quality concerns with Suppliers) Collaborate cross-functionally to support large-scale initiatives (e.g., ERP, item, and marketing transitions) Maintain supplier chain of custody documentation and identify, summarize, and communicate actionable tasks resulting from supplier meetings and site visits. Collaborate with FSQA to clearly define and maintain product specifications. Work Schedule + Benefits Full-time position, Exempt Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday Occasional travel for vendor visits, which may include nights weekends (1-3 times/month) Excellent Benefits, to include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA’s, 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan, Adoption Assistance, Education Reimbursement, Supplemental Health Plans and Pet Insurance Pay Range is $73,750-$81,550 per year The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors. Job Requirements High School diploma or GED is required. Some college/Associate's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree preferably in Science, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, or a Similar field of Study a plus. 2+ years' experience in an internal purchasing environment is required Basic knowledge of Oracle Fusion SCM modules and HighJump/Körber WMS platform (or similar WMS) is preferred. Proficient in MS Office, with intermediate skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Experience with Asana and Jira is a plus. Maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Job requires exposure to the following: Mechanical parts, dangerous machinery, high precarious places, tight constricted areas, extreme cold (36 degrees Fahrenheit), extreme heat outdoor conditions and fumes or airborne particles For Store associates Minimum one (1) year tenure with In-N-Out Burger Minimum Level 3, plus a minimum 1 year experience in an internal purchasing environment is required. Degree in Science, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management or similar field a plus.
