Reviews MRP demands and validates requirements. Procures raw material, supplies, and parts for the purpose of ensuring necessary items for production are available when needed. This may include obtaining quotes and bids. Communicates daily with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries to support production requirements. Determines best quantity, price and delivery schedule and negotiates as required. Verifies confirmation for accuracy, identifies any bottlenecks and communicates with management. Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges. Troubleshoots issues and works with manufacturing and sales team to resolve issues. Researches, identifies, and secures new vendors to receive competitive pricing. Performs other work-related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: High school diploma required / College or equivalent experience preferred Minimum of 2 years previous purchasing experience working in aerospace manufacturing or related industry strongly preferred. Use of Microsoft Office Suite applications: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Use of ERP System: Syteline experience a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
