Buyer Position – Pay Range 70k-75k year salary Job Summary: Job description: This position is based at our South Houston facility. In this role you will be responsible for purchasing raw materials, cutting tools, services, supplies, capital tools, and any other necessary items to keep our facility running. You will be responsible for obtaining maximum value in terms of quality, price, delivery, and customer service. This role is critical to our company’s operations, and requires a sense of urgency for all small and large projects. You will be a main source of support for our manufacturing facility and help prevent delays, down machine time, and ensure customer service. You will also be responsible for providing quotes to our in-house estimators and completing cost out projects for estimators, sales, and management. Job Requirements: Knowledge of cutting tools used in a machine shop for lathes, mills, etc. Previous experience using an ERP system, and manufacturing software like SAP, JD Edwards, Made2Manage, Global Shop Solutions, etc... Previous experience as in purchasing/planner. Computer literate. Competent in the Microsoft Suite package, particularly Excel. Hard working, self-starter. Someone who understands his customer is his co-worker whom is requisitioning the required item. Passion for finding and driving the best value from our vendors. Value is a matrix of quality, price, delivery, and customer service.
