Hiring by DMG MORI must be made in compliance with applicable regulations. The Procurement Generalist is tasked to procure parts by product specifications with good price, delivery and quality. Responsibilities include up to and not limited to: Creating purchase orders and sending them to suppliers after confirming price, lead time, delivery dates. Delivery tracking to keep on production. Maintaining potential missing parts spread sheet – run analysis as needed and report to all related people to keep production schedule on time Set necessary (supplier name/price/Lead time and so on) information into Procurement software to run MRP Maintain procurement software data daily bases Creating reports and presentations related to procurement activities Maintaining relationships with internal colleagues as well as domestic/international vendor relationships Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot table and Vlookup) required Vendor management experience specific to purchasing in a manufacturing or machine environment experience preferred Proven negotiation skills with vendors preferred Mechanical/Electrical engineering background preferred Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures Professional, effective verbal and written communication skills Strong technical experiences with computers: Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and spreadsheets analysis Work Environment : General office environment will be experienced. There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery. Physical Demands: Frequent: sitting at desk utilizing computers and phones. Periodic: business travel (domestic/abroad), standing, walking, repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements.
