We are seeking an enthusiastic, analytical team player with experience in purchasing and category growth, ideally in technical or heavy-duty industries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing heavy-duty truck & trailer parts, analyzing vendor offerings, and driving category growth to support our business objectives.

Key focuses of the role include:

1. Generate replenishment orders and support daily operations to maximize inventory availability and fill rates.

2. Analyze assortment data, sales trends, and vendor offerings to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive category expansion.

3. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating favourable terms and opportunities to benefit the business and customers.



Responsibilities
  • Generate replenishment orders and support daily operations to maximize inventory availability and fill rates.
  • Analyze assortment data, sales trends, and vendor offerings to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive category expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating favorable terms and opportunities to benefit the business and customers.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to communicate new products, promotions, and key initiatives.
  • Support inventory management by optimizing stock levels, reducing overstock, and managing product lifecycles.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.


Qualifications
  • Experience in the heavy-duty truck industry or demonstrated ability to quickly learn technical products. Retail or wholesale experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to make strategic decisions considering multiple factors such as cost, pricing, and customer demand.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Skilled at learning new tools and software.
  • Skilled in identifying challenges and implementing solutions to ensure operational success.
  • A collaborative team player who builds trust and positive working relationships across departments.
