Buyer - Automotive Manufacturing

Own the purchasing lifecycle for a small, focused team working in the automotive industry. This is a long-term W-2 contract role with an initial 12-month term. You’ll buy raw materials, equipment, components, tooling, and services at the best possible price while making sure everything arrives on time and meets quality and quantity standards. You’ll work independently, check your own results, and build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. What You’ll Do - Create purchase orders, send them to the right vendors, and confirm receipt - Track delivery dates and resolve late shipments and quality issues - Support the Receiving team and manage invoices tied to each PO - Run competitive bids and negotiate pricing with suppliers - Build and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers - Help develop and carry out supplier contracts - Keep orders and systems up to date and communicate changes to internal and external partners - Travel to suppliers when needed What You Bring - 5+ years of procurement experience - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience - Hands-on experience with SAP - Experience leading supplier meetings, including negotiation, delivery, and performance reviews - Experience leading Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Development (QCDD) discussions with suppliers - Understanding of manufacturing processes - Experience reading CAD drawings and working with prototype parts - Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills - Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Nice to have - Coordination experience - Experience working with multinational teams Work Location: In person
