Mason VitaminsJob Overview The Buyer Associate supports the Purchasing Manager in overseeing procurement activities, ensuring efficient sourcing of materials and services while optimizing cost, quality, and supplier relationships. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies. Responsibilities · Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. · Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable agreements. · Maintain and update supplier databases, ensuring accurate records of agreements and performance. · Assist in resolving supplier issues, including delays, quality concerns, and discrepancies. · Learn and cover other members, including the Manager’s tasks and being able to meet the department goals and objectives. · Oversee the creation, review, and approval of purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance. · Track order statuses, expedite deliveries when necessary, and communicate updates to relevant departments. · Ensure timely procurement of materials to prevent production or operational delays. · Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels. · Work with finance and purchasing teams to control costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. · Analyze purchasing trends to optimize procurement strategies and reduce expenses. · Compliance & Documentation: · Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations. · Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications. Competency · Excellent organizational and time management skills. · Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. · Extensive knowledge of data preparation procedures and requirements. · Advanced English written and verbal communications skills. (Spanish is a plus). · Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate to high advance Excel level required) · Experience with ERP systems (JDE Edwards, Oracle Cloud). · Capable of making presentations. · Ability to work in teamwork and fast fast-paced environment.
