Job Summary We are seeking a Buyer for a contract/temporary opportunity in Irvine, CA within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. This role is ideal for a purchasing professional with 3-5 years of experience who is comfortable managing supplier relationships, placing purchase orders, supporting inventory needs, and working in a regulated quality environment. The Buyer will play a key role in ensuring materials, components, goods, and services are sourced efficiently and received on time. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with suppliers, accounts payable, quality, engineering, and internal operations teams in a professional, team-oriented environment where accuracy, communication, and accountability are valued. Key Responsibilities Purchase goods, materials, components, and services to support business and operational needs. Obtain supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and place purchase orders in NetSuite. Manage supplier communication related to pricing, quality, delivery, invoice discrepancies, and corrective actions. Coordinate engineering change order activities with suppliers, quality, and engineering teams. Maintain purchasing records, supplier files, payment terms, and vendor setup documentation in NetSuite. Support inventory control by managing component supply levels, tracking timely material receipt, and coordinating returns of nonconforming materials.
