Rockford Toolcraft is looking for an experienced Buyer! We have an immediate opening available in our Purchasing department on our day shift. Current work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 6:00 am - 3:30 pm (9 hours per day). As an added benefit, Rockford Toolcraft pays overtime rate after 8 hours every single shift! Our ideal candidate is 1.) experienced in purchasing and procurement within a manufacturing environment, 2.) proficient with ERP/MRP purchasing systems, 3.) knowledgeable in coil steel, metals, and industrial hardware, 4.) able to demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, and 5.) interested in weekly overtime! Our Buyers are responsible for purchasing raw materials such as coil steel, hardware, and other related materials while maintaining a high quality experience with vendors, suppliers, coworkers, and management. We are proud to offer up-to-date technology to help our Buyers have success in their role. Duties could include adding responsibilities to help support the demands of a growing company. We are a locally-owned family business and have been in business for 50 years. The Purchasing department directly supports our entire operation. For that reason, our Buyers work closely with Stamping and Tooling department managers along with other departments including receiving, accounting, and quality at both our Rockford locations. This position does require travel between our 2 plant locations (2 miles apart), as needed.
