Job description: Braun Northwest, Inc. (BNW) is now hiring for a Buyer in Chehalis, WA. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 40hrs per week working 6:00am through 2:30pm. This position is overtime eligible and required to work overtime as needed. The compensation for this position is $22-$27/hr DOE/DOQ. Job Details: If you are dependable, hardworking and willing to learn, then Braun Northwest, Inc. has a job for you! BNW is looking for a Buyer to join our team in the Materials Department. This position works with a team of buyers to procure materials and supplies according to production schedules. In order to be successful, the candidate must: · Issue purchase orders and internal shop work orders using MAX. · Transmit orders to suppliers, process acknowledgments, update pricing. · Daily, monitor reports and update delivery status for production. · Process weekly production inventory reports and order as needed. · Maintain detailed and accurate records of parts ordered using MAX and Excel. · Maintain supplier data and develop good working relationships with suppliers. · Identify suppliers to find the best value and reduce costs and transit time. · Work with engineering and project coordinators for answers to purchasing questions. · Assist in quarterly physical inventory count and data entry. Education: Basic reading, writing and arithmetic, normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Two-year Associates degree in business or inventory/supply chain management or equivalent job experience is preferred. Position Requirements: Working in a fast-paced environment, excellent organizational and time management skills, and ability to work under pressure. Materials and tools used in this position include: · Microsoft Office software · MAX inventory management control software. Desired Experience: Knowledge of shipping and receiving, supply chain management, and inventory principles. Moderate to expert level of knowledge in Microsoft Excel - knowledge of pivot tables and formulas is a plus.
