Job Title: Buyer (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Deer Park, TX (On-site) Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00 / hour Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire About the Role Openwork is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Buyer for a high-performing industrial energy & logistics client located in Deer Park, TX. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to manage end-to-end procurement processes, optimize supplier execution, and directly contribute to the organization's strategic transition from Procure-to-Pay (P2P) to Source-to-Pay (S2P). Key Responsibilities Procurement & Sourcing: Purchase high-quality materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in full compliance with company purchasing policies. Analyze market dynamics, cost drivers, and supplier alternatives to optimize delivery, pricing, and commercial terms. Contract Administration & Management: Draft precise contract requirements and technical specifications for assigned business units. Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor execution and coordinate supplier/subcontractor activities. Process & RFQ Oversight: Streamline and oversee the end-to-end procurement process while supporting the company’s transition to an integrated S2P framework. Data & Cost Analysis: Analyze cost data using established tools to identify budget variances and profitability improvements. Compile essential financial and analytical reports for executive leadership. Operational Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement: Monitor adherence to organizational policies and regulatory codes. Resolve internal and external stakeholder queries and facilitate key alignment meetings. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Finance. Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of direct procurement and sourcing experience. Technical Skills: Strong ERP system proficiency ( Oracle experience strongly preferred ).
