Full Job Description Join our materials planning and sourcing team, responsible for the acquisition of goods and/or services necessary to meet demand from sales, production, and maintenance. You'll work hands-on with our Enterprise Resource Planning software to track demand, manage purchase orders, and build supplier relationships. You'll receive one-on-one training your first few weeks to learn the basics of our software and procedures, then gradually take on increasing ownership of the role - this is a great fit for a self-starter, someone who's excited to figure things out without constant oversight and is looking to build a career in supply chain, procurement, or operations. Applicable skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), attention to detail, comfort learning new software systems. Essential duties: · Entering and submitting purchase orders, ordering online or via email · Processing order confirmations from suppliers o Communicating impact of costing changes to management o Determining if appropriate to find a new source o Resolving deliveries with non-conforming products, including returns o Addressing discrepancies between purchase orders and supplier invoices · Reviewing open purchase orders o Working to ensure delivery will satisfy the demand schedule o Requesting expedites as necessary o Maintaining due dates, tracking information, and other details · Sourcing goods and/or services o Establishing new suppliers as needed o Contacting multiple suppliers for quotes o Updating quote files for new and existing products and services o Maintaining list of consumables frequently used · Determining appropriate stock levels based on historical demand · Working with receiving department as necessary · Evaluating supplier performance according to quality guidelines · Communicating shortages with management to ensure accurate scheduling · Using existing reports and creating new reports in the ERP to help achieve all the above · Interacting with co-workers, suppliers, and customers with a positive attitude Minimum requirements: · Education o Bachelor’s degree OR o High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of related work experience in fabrication manufacturing · Computer knowledge and experience with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook Desired skills: · Experience with MRP and ERP; Syspro experience a plus · Extraordinary attention to detail and time management Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Work Location: In person
