We're looking for a Buyer who enjoys keeping things organized, solving problems, working with people, and making sure production has what it needs—when it needs it. If you're someone who likes numbers, planning, purchasing, inventory, and getting things done , this could be a great fit for you. WHAT YOU'LL DO You'll play an important role behind the scenes, working closely with Operations, Production, vendors, receiving, shipping, and purchasing to keep our manufacturing operation running smoothly. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, supplies, and parts Build strong relationships with vendors and communicate orders, releases, and delivery needs Monitor inventory levels and make sure production has the materials it needs Perform physical inventories and cycle counts for raw materials, parts, supplies, and finished goods Process MRP/MPS information and calculate material requirements Research and resolve inventory discrepancies Assist with receiving, shipping, product processing, and purchasing activities Maintain accurate records for receipts, batch lots, withdrawals, and inventory transactions Reconcile inventory balances using ERP reports and system data Support production scheduling and material planning Work with Operations and vendors to solve material and delivery issues Keep information accurate and up to date in our manufacturing systems Work as part of a team to support safe, efficient, and reliable production Perform other duties as assigned WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for someone who is organized, analytical, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of their work. You should have: At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, purchasing, inventory control, production control, or a related area preferred Experience with ERP, MRP, MPS, or WMS systems preferred Experience with inventory, cycle counting, purchasing, receiving, or vendor communication Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Solid Excel skills; experience with pivot tables is a plus Strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong planning and organizational abilities Good problem-solving and analytical skills The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment A dependable attendance record and commitment to your work schedule WHY YOU'LL LIKE WORKING HERE At WPT, you're not just a number.
