This position will be responsible for ensuring raw materials and production components are available when needed while managing day-to-day purchasing activity from order placement through delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage purchasing activity for raw materials, components, and other direct materials used in production. Review material requirements and translate MRP demand into purchase orders. Manage purchase orders from issuance through delivery, including order confirmations, changes, and supplier follow-up. Track open orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to maintain appropriate material availability. Proactively expedite materials and resolve shortages or late deliveries that could impact production. Qualifications 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or buyer experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Experience purchasing raw materials, components, or other direct materials used in production. Strong understanding of purchase order management, material planning, supplier coordination, and production requirements. Experience working within an ERP/MRP environment; SAP experience is a plus. Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, or other product requirements.
