About Copperfit Industries Copperfit Industries is a family-owned manufacturer and distributor of plumbing products serving wholesale customers throughout North America and Asia since 1999. We offer a broad range of copper, brass, PVC, PEX, and related plumbing products and are committed to quality, responsive service, and strong long-term relationships with our customers and suppliers. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our Procurement team. This role works closely with suppliers, overseas manufacturers, Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, and Accounting to ensure products are sourced, ordered, produced, and delivered on time. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, comfortable communicating directly with factories and suppliers, and able to independently follow purchasing activities from initial requirement through delivery. Key Responsibilities Prepare, issue, update, and track purchase orders in the ERP system Purchase materials, components, finished goods, and inventory from approved domestic and international suppliers Communicate with suppliers and factories regarding pricing, product requirements, production status, lead times, and delivery schedules Follow up on open purchase orders and escalate delays, shortages, quality concerns, or supply issues Request and compare supplier quotations to support sourcing and purchasing decisions Monitor assigned inventory items and initiate replenishment based on established reorder levels and business needs Coordinate with Sales regarding customer requirements, product availability, special orders, and expected timing Coordinate with Warehouse and Logistics regarding inbound shipments and delivery schedules Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, lead time, purchase order, and order status information in the ERP system Assist with resolving quantity, pricing, delivery, and invoice discrepancies with suppliers and Accounting Maintain strong day-to-day supplier relationships and follow up on open items Support other purchasing and procurement activities as assigned Qualifications & Skills 1+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, import/export, order management, or related experience preferred Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English required Ability to communicate effectively with factories and suppliers in China by email, phone, WeChat, or other business communication channels Experience working with overseas suppliers or manufacturers preferred Experience in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, plumbing, hardware, industrial products, or a related industry is a plus Basic understanding of purchase orders, supplier coordination, inventory, and purchasing processes Strong organizational and follow up skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple purchase orders, deadlines, and changing priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn ERP systems Strong problem solving and communication skills Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while escalating significant issues appropriately Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour Work Location: In person
