KellyCommodity Buyer We are seeking an experienced Commodity Buyer to support procurement activities and help develop a comprehensive contract database containing vendor information and related details. Experience purchasing indirect goods—especially IT products and services—is highly valued. Location: Austin TX Key Responsibilities Support the Procurement team with purchase order activities and projects. Create and maintain a contract database for vendors and related agreements. Manage and maintain SAP Ariba files. Analyze and communicate vendor quotes, parts lists, reports, and other purchasing data. Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate supplier bids related to price, delivery, quality, and terms. Manage open orders to maximize supplier performance. Evaluate supplier performance using established rating methods. Support cost-reduction initiatives. Collaborate effectively with internal and external customers. Prepare purchasing reports, statistics, and strategies. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or at least four years of directly related work experience in lieu of a degree. Minimum of five years of purchasing experience; eight years preferred. Experience purchasing indirect goods, such as office furniture, software, and IT products. SAP Ariba experience. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create and use pivot tables. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of standard purchasing practices, bills of materials, specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience purchasing IT products and services. Experience in semiconductor manufacturing. Electronics industry experience at a minimum. Experience with supplier performance management and cost-reduction programs. Work Arrangement This Is a Hybrid Position Requiring Two days in the office Three days remote Full-time, in-office attendance is required during the first few weeks of training.
