Responsibilities Assist the butchery team in preparing meat products, including trimming, slicing, and portioning according to specifications Handle food products safely by following proper hygiene and food safety protocols at all times Support in packaging meat items efficiently for display or delivery, ensuring presentation standards are met Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment to uphold health regulations Help with inventory management by organizing stock and noting product levels for reordering Provide friendly assistance to customers by answering questions about meat cuts and recommended preparations Follow all food handling procedures diligently to ensure quality and safety standards are consistently achieved Qualifications Previous experience or familiarity with the food industry, especially in food preparation or kitchen environments Knowledge of butchery techniques and meat cutting processes is highly desirable Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards Ability to handle food products carefully and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude Experience with packaging, labeling, and storing perishable goods effectively Kitchen experience or related training is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in food handling, butchery, and customer service within a lively retail environment.
