DRPM Subs is responsible for : The acquisition of COLUMBIA Class Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the class. The program is a major defense acquisition program and is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). The acquisition of VIRGINIA Class Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E), Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E), and Fleet introduction of the U.S. Navy’s newest class of nuclear attack submarines. The program is a major defense acquisition program with a total life cycle cost of approximately $336B. Additionally, successful improvement of the Class’s capabilities is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for SHAPM contract supporting the acquisition of submarines and surface vessels. In this position, you will provide programmatic, analytical, and project management support to NAVSEA stakeholders and Submarine Industrial Base (SIB) leadership. You will bring your expertise in Business Operations, PPBE, and cross-functional project execution to strengthen industrial base resiliency supporting submarine and maritime weapon system production. You will perform intermediate mission support tasks, assists in strategic planning, and provide insights to optimize mission operations. SIB has been tasked to assess and improve the SIB supply chain and suppliers (big and small) to address the extraordinary demand being placed on industry by ship and submarine construction. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance. In this role, you will: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process and the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP). Exhibit experience in financial management, budget planning, funding execution, investment analysis, or portfolio management. Provide operational planning and execution support. Display proficiency with the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process, writing POM issue papers, and responding to RFIs. Facilitate development, implementation, and revision of work procedures and standards with key stakeholders across multiple organizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations. Conduct program analysis and performance monitoring of contracts. Document Preparation; prepare, proofread, and edit documents, presentations, and reports to support business processes and project objectives. Document and refine mission requirements. Support the generation and documentation of mission requirements and contribute to documentation and reporting initiatives. Assist in preparing detailed documentation and reporting.
