Business Development Director, IT Asset Disposition, Technology Lifecycle & Recovery Solutions Position Summary The Business Development Director for IT Asset Disposition and Electronic Recycling is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding strategic customer relationships, and positioning the organization as a trusted provider of secure, sustainable end-of-life technology solutions. This role leads business development efforts across IT asset disposition, electronics recycling, value recovery, data destruction, reverse logistics, and circular economy services. The ideal candidate brings strong industry knowledge, a proven record of closing complex B2B opportunities, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, compliance, logistics, and executive leadership. Key Responsibilities · Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow revenue across ITAD and electronic recycling service lines. · Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with enterprise, mid-market, public sector, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and channel partner accounts. · Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including IT, procurement, sustainability, facilities, and compliance leaders. · Present solution offerings that address secure data destruction, environmental compliance, asset recovery, redeployment, and sustainability goals. · Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and discovery through proposal development, contract negotiation, close, and account expansion. · Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are translated into operationally sound and compliant service solutions. · Maintain accurate pipeline activity, account plans, opportunity updates, and revenue forecasts within the company CRM platform. · Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments related to IT lifecycle management, electronic recycling, and circular economy practices. · Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade associations, networking events, and customer meetings. · Support pricing strategy, contract structuring, and go-to-market initiatives that improve win rates and long-term customer value. · Contribute to strategic partnerships with OEMs, VARs, MSPs, logistics providers, and other ecosystem stakeholders. · Partner with leadership to establish territory plans, target accounts, performance goals, and growth priorities. Required Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sustainability, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. · Minimum of 5 years of business development, sales, or account management experience in ITAD, electronics recycling, reverse logistics, IT lifecycle services, or a closely related industry. · Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales, business development, or account management teams. · Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets and developing new business in a competitive B2B environment. · Strong understanding of IT asset disposition processes, electronics recycling programs, value recovery models, and secure chain-of-custody practices. · Working knowledge of data destruction and sanitization expectations, including industry-aligned practices such as NIST SP 800-88, as well as familiarity with environmental and operational compliance requirements. · Experience preparing proposals, leading presentations, negotiating contracts, and closing complex service agreements. · Proficiency with CRM systems, pipeline management, sales forecasting, and performance reporting. · Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and business systems used for sales and account management. · Data-driven mindset …
