What You'll Bring
• Class A CDL required
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred, or willingness to obtain them shortly after joining
• At least 1 year of professional driving experience
• Previous Tanker experience
• Clean driving record
• Ability to successfully complete a background check
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform minor equipment maintenance
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical labor in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and regularly push, pull, bend, squat, climb, and handle equipment
• Willingness to travel occasionally
What You'll Be Doing
This isn't a typical truck-driving job. You'll spend approximately 40% of your time behind the wheel and 60% working hands-on with equipment, products, and customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Operating emulsion tanker and box trucks
• Delivering MAXAM products safely to customer sites
• Operating hydraulic, mechanical, and manual loading and unloading equipment
• Loading product, pulling large hoses, and filling holes at customer sites
• Handling and storing raw materials and dangerous goods in accordance with regulations and company procedures
• Completing thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Following daily, weekly, and monthly truck and equipment maintenance schedules
• Performing minor mechanical maintenance when required
• Working directly with customers and assisting with orders when needed
• Supporting site operations and helping maintain an efficient facility
• Following all applicable U.S. federal and state regulations
• Adhering to MAXAM safety, operational, and regulatory procedures
• Supporting Site Management with daily operational tasks
